Loving God ~ Living Compassion
Join us each Sunday,
From Pastor Michele Robbins
Happy Wednesday to you! I hope you are having a peace filled day and enjoying the beautiful fall weather.
This Sunday we will be continuing our worship series, A Way Out of No Way, with the story of Moses. I hope you can join us
The Traditional Ensemble met Tuesday evening after Soul Purpose Band (approximately 8:00) this month to rehearse for this coming Sunday. They will be back to the normal schedule, after church on the 2nd Sunday, for November.
Yoga practice is at McGarvey Park at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday and Saturday this week. It has been a little cool in the mornings, so you may want to dress in layers. I have an extra mat if you need one.
Explore Archery meets at 10:00 a.m. this Saturday in the social hall. Come join in! (There will not be archery on the 15th.)
Book study meets this Thursday at 4:00 p.m. on the parsonage porch. We are on chapter 7, Dealing with Loss and Finding Light. A zoom link will be emailed for those wishing to join in by zoom.
You are invited to come and join the United Women of Faith in room 106 at 10:00 on Wednesday, Oct. 12th. We will be having a special speaker joining us to share about the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women. This is an important topic for our area. We will be taking a love offering there to support this work.
Come join the United women in Faith for making simple fleece blankets for the children at Safe Sanctuaries. This happens in room 106 on the 4th Tuesday of the month.
Mark your calendar. Charge Conference will take place at church at 5:00 p.m. on November 30th.
Be well this week, my friends. Find some time and intention for spreading God's love wherever you may find yourself.
And in the beginning was love. Love made a sphere:
all things grew within it; the sphere then encompassed beginnings and endings, beginning and end. Love had a compass whose whirling dance traced out a sphere of love in the void: in the center thereof
rose a fountain.-- Robert Lax

Thanks to all who made masks for use at the local hospital. Ukiah Valley Medical Center thanks churches and groups, saying they have enough to provide people who arrive needing one. We made over 500 masks as an extended community! Special thanks goes out to many friends of UUMC for joining the effort. Please keep checking with us for future opportunities to join together in service efforts.
