From Pastor Michele Robbins4/3/24
Hello friends, I hope you are well and finding time to enjoy this beautiful day. This Sunday we continue with our worship series, Resurrection Stories. Our word for the week is "found." Admin Council meets by Zoom at 11:45. Earth Day is April 22nd. We are going to have a highway cleanup that day from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Contact Jone if you can help. On Thursday and Saturday we will have hand weights at 8:15 and yoga practice at 8:30 in the social hall. Explore Archery is on a field trip to Lake Sonoma this Saturday. There is an insurance cost to the trip. Contact Bethany for more information. Friendship Forward gathers on Wednesday the 24th at 5:30 p.m. in the social hall. This month we will have a deli sandwich bar with side salads. Dinner will be followed by a drum circle for all. The kids will get to make suncatchers and jewelry for Mother's Day gifts and for themselves. Adults will be setting goals for one of the six aspects of well-being and exploring how the group can support them with the goal. Invite a friend who can benefit from supportive friendship! Do you have a good sense of rhythm? I am looking for hand drum players for our next worship series. It will begin on May 26th. Let me know if you want to join in. The Chimes newsletter deadline is April 23rd. This is for the May and June edition. Please send submissions to newsletter@ukiahumc.org. Thank you to those who stepped up to help with food distribution on Saturdays at Plowshares. Be well, my friends. Always remember that grace abounds and God's love is everlasting. Shalom to you friends, Pastor Michele And in the beginning was love. Love made a sphere: all things grew within it; the sphere then encompassed beginnings and endings, beginning and end. Love had a compass whose whirling dance traced out a sphere of love in the void: in the center thereof rose a fountain.-- Robert Lax If you would like to receive this weekly email directly, please drop a note to Pastor Michele.
