Book studies planned; Prayer Service shifting to Wednesday
-2/10/21
Hello friends, I am back from staycation and glad to be jumping back into ministry with you. On my staycation, I was able to complete my last paper for my first doctoral class, spend a few days with my mom, and enjoyed some great home cooked meals with my husband. It was a wonderful and restful time. Today we will meet at Alex Thomas Plaza for our prayer service at 4:00 pm. I hope you can join us. Bring your own chair and wear a mask. Rhythm instruments are always a fun addition. Our highway cleanup day is this Saturday from 10:00 to noon. Contact Jone to let her know if you can be there and if you need training. 707-489-5186 Bible study continues on Thursdays at 5:00. This week's Scriptures are Deuteronomy 30:15-20 and Matthew 5:23-24. You will find the link below. If you haven't been able to attend in a while, I hope you are able to come back soon. We are really enjoying the creative writing part at the end. You can find samples of what we are doing in the Chapel Chimes. Yoga will continue to be livestreamed on Facebook on Thursdays at 8:00 am, and now you can also join in live on Saturdays at 8:00 am. You can always practice to a video on the page if these times don't work for you. Our book study for Finding Peace in an Anxious World will be on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm beginning March 3rd and continuing through March 24th. If you need a free copy of the book, please contact Linda Nagel. This Sunday we will be celebrating communion during our worship service. Have your elements ready. If you don't have bread and juice, use whatever you have available. I pray you are finding peace during this time. Remember, God is always with us, and you are a beloved child of God. Be well, my friends. Shalom, Pastor Michele |
Would you, or someone you know,
benefit from a "porch visit"?

Please let us know. And let us know, also, if you would like to visit others. A listening ear and a compassionate heart are all you'll need. You can also choose to join with other visitors for prayer and mutual support.

Thanks to all who made masks for use at the local hospital. Ukiah Valley Medical Center thanks churches and groups, saying they have enough to provide people who arrive needing one. We made over 500 masks as an extended community! Special thanks goes out to many friends of UUMC for joining the effort. Please keep checking with us for future opportunities to join together in service efforts.
Pastor Michele and Debbie, our Office Manager, are working remotely, checking incoming Voice/E-mail.
