7/9/2020

Hello friends,

I hope you have enjoyed our series, Beguiled by Beauty. This is our final Sunday of the series. Be sure to have a candle ready for the Threshold Moment.

If you found this series meaningful, please consider if you would like to be part of a book study on the book Contemplation and Action by Janet Parachin. This would be done on Zoom.

We will be back to the lectionary calendar for the next few weeks, but will begin a new series in mid-August.

You should have received a survey from Survey Monkey that I sent out this week. (Please contact me if you have not received it and would like to take the survey.) Please answer the five questions to help us with our re-opening planning. We still do not have a date for re-opening. We were considering August, but now it looks like the virus may peak here locally in late August or early September. I am staying connected to our county health officer, Dr. Doohan, and taking her advice seriously. We do not want to put people at risk and hope that when we do re-open that you will seriously consider if it is the right time for you. I will keep you updated.

Our team of volunteers working on the floors in the sanctuary and chapel are working hard to scrape glue from the areas where the carpet was removed. What a great team they are. If you get a chance, give them a thank you. (Bethany, Laura, Josh, Diana, Annie, Dave, Daniel, Linda, Brenna and Chad)

Join us for worship at 10:00 am on Facebook

Social hour happens on Zoom. Contact me for the link or phone number to join us. I hope to see or hear from you there.

I hope you are finding safe ways to connect with folks during the SIP. It's been difficult, but our care is protecting community members. Feel free to contact me via email or by phone 707-462-3360 x102 if you would like to chat.

Shalom,
Pastor Michele

We are still doing vital ministry in our community! Please don’t forget to continue with your pledges/offerings.

Ukiah United Methodist Church work, to support its members and our community, will not stop because of this public health challenge. This is a friendly reminder that UUMC uses Vanco eGiving tools, so you can continue to support our work using:

  1. send a text to 833-912-2388
  2. the Donate or Give Now buttons to the left
  3. the GivePlus Mobile App
  4. or via PayPal: email office@ukiahumc.org

Ukiah United Methodist Church is a strong community. We will weather this together, even if we’re not all in services. We appreciate your giving, and we do important work with members’ generosity. As we alter the way we operate, please consider making a gift via eGiving.

Pastor Michele and Debbie are not in the office but are in contact and working remotely checking for incoming Voice/E-mail.
