We are a Welcoming & Affirming Congregation:

We welcome all persons into full participation in the life of the congregation regardless of age, gender identity, racial or ethnic background, sexual orientation, marriage status, or physical or mental condition.

Worship Each Sunday is live streamed beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Hello friends,

It seems some folks are having a difficult time with so many links in the body of the emails I send, so this week I will be writing to you about what is available this week, then listing the links at the end of the letter. Hopefully this will be helpful in recognizing which link is for which service, meeting, or small group. If you are still unsure, please let me know.

There are so many ways to enjoy being with your church community virtually. Sunday mornings we have worship at 10:00 am. This Sunday will be a little different. We will have a half hour worship service, because our bishop would like to invite you to join in the live-streamed ordination service for our conference from 10:30 to noon. Bishop Carcano will be preaching. It is always a beautiful service. I hope you are able to join in.

Our 6th and final service for our series on Prophecies and Pottery will be live-streamed on Sunday the 27th.

Yoga will be live-streamed tomorrow, Sept. 15th on our Facebook page, but not on Thursday as I will be attending our annual conference virtually at that time. You can access videos of previously recorded yoga sessions to watch this Thursday or anytime you wish to practice. It's a great way to practice self-care!

Book study is continuing this week. We will be going over chapter three on Marian Edelman Wright. Feel free to join in, even if you weren't able to make it to earlier sessions.

Bible study has begun meeting again. We meet at 5:00 on Thursdays via Zoom. You can join by computer or by phone. Bring your Bible, and be ready for some great discussions.

Remember, we have folks who are waiting to be matched with people who would like a porch/outdoor visit with distancing. If you would like a church friend to visit with, please let me know.

I'm looking for a couple of people who would like to help organize our coming online craft and gift market. If you have a couple of hours you could use to make phone calls to church members and the desire to help, please let me know. We have two months until the event begins. We can make this a fun way to raise funds!

Okay, here is where I list all of the links. Be sure to look closely at the titles, dates, and times to make sure you are clicking on the correct link. I am hopeful that this will make it easier to get into each meet-up.

Ukiah United Methodist Church work, to support its members and our community, will not stop because of this public health challenge. This is a friendly reminder that UUMC uses Vanco eGiving tools, so you can continue to support our work using:

  1. send a text to 833-912-2388
  2. the Donate or Give Now buttons to the left
  3. the GivePlus Mobile App
  4. or via PayPal: email

Ukiah United Methodist Church is a strong community. We will weather this together, even if we’re not all in services. We appreciate your giving, and we do important work with members’ generosity. As we alter the way we operate, please consider making a gift via eGiving.

Pastor Michele and Debbie are not in the office but are in contact and working remotely checking for incoming Voice/E-mail.
